Rename or move a shared folder

When you rename or move a folder used as a shared folder, Network Magic automatically continues to share the folder's files.

Rename a shared folder

1. Click Shared Folders.

2. Click the folder you want to rename.

3. In the Tasks tab, click Change Folder Settings.

4. In the Change Shared Folder Settings dialog box, type the new name.

5. Click OK.

Move a shared folder

1. Click this button:
   
   
   
   Explorer displays the structure of drives, folders, and files on your computer.

2. Use Explorer to move the folder to the new location.
   
   For help with doing so, see the Help for your version of Microsoft Windows. If you are using Windows XP, click Start, and then click Help and Support. If you are using another Windows version, click Start, then click Help.

3. At the confirmation dialog box, click Yes.

 Tip

Note

You cannot rename My Shared Folders. It is a system folder and is required for Network Magic to run properly.
